Program of the Association

In compliance with the actual stands of the insurance industry in Albania , the growing demands for a solid and stable market, and with the EU requirements on insurance, are foreseen these activities:

The development of the Insurance Industry:

Application of the modern experience through the improvement of the legal aspects

Creation of the conditions for a fair competition

Adaptation with the EU insurance Directives

The creation of a database for the claims handled and in process

 

Public Information Future Activities have to involve the public informing. Small bussines have to be informed on the insurance bussines, insurance contracts that Insurance Companies offers, and the possibility of organising round tables with Students, Journalists etc, on the basic knowledge in insurance, the importance of being insured, public protection, identification of the insurance companies datas etc

 

Results to be expected:

The high school students will:

Know the basic elements of insurance

Understand the importance of being insured

B. Journalists:

Identify the main statistical data of the insurance companies

Know better the rights and obligations rising from the insurance contracts.

Describe the economic situation of the insurance companies for public protection

Analyse the insurance companies operations.

Be public aware of the importance of the insurance as a part of a society infrastructure as an identification, handling and distributing instrument of the risk.

C. State police will:

1. Know the basic elements of an insurance contract, terms and conditions,

2. Identify the false insurance policy.

 

 

Market Stabilisation is the priority for the Year 2005. We have to cooperate together especially with the new insurance companies just licensed. The cooperation will be extended with the state police in identification of the uninsured vehicles and in offering to the state police trainings in insurance basics, elementary knowledge.

 

Market extends through continuation collaborations with the local power and the government, on the property insurance cover, personal accidents at work, and third party liability cover.

 

Agents licensing process Agents professional requirements is the main theme of discussions in the hole industry, Setting standards for the licensing and the certification of the agents and/or other professionals on insurance, Organizing training courses for:

Specialists dealing with insurance

Fresh graduates with no insurance knowledge

Insurance agents as a precondition for the licensing

This year we will be working on the training manual that is going to be at drafted from the training institute group work.

During the training project implemented by BICON and co financed by USAID – World Learning, are being made the basics of local training in insurance. This year we are preparing to participate in other similar projects, asking for logistical support. We need to be supported for the next steps in train the trainers, specialists and agents. We will continue to cooperate with FSVC and World Bank representatives and ISC in participating together in actuarial and supervision seminars

 

7. International links

International links with the European and regional organisations will be in the first plan for the future. Cooperation with similar organisations is based first of all in exchanging the professional experience in the field of insurance and in applying the EU Directives.

CEA Membership will be the main goal this year.
